Happy Father's Day

This is my Father-in-law Terry. I wanted to remember him at this time of year because he's the only father I have right now. My own father passed away 13 years ago before I took so many pictures. Terry has alzheimer's, a debilitating disease that is stealing away his precious memories. Please use this picture as a reminder to take your pictures and say your "I love you's" because life is precious and unpredictable. I honor Terry because he taught his son to be a good husband. Tony is a excellent father and grandfather. So if you have a Dad or a Dad substitute in your life, wrap your arms around him and hold on tight. Don't wait to let them know you love them.

Perspective

I told you I take my camera everywhere. This charming zebra is a resident of the Puerta Vallarta zoo. The zoo has fewer restrictions about just how close you can get to the wild beasts. Sometime I'll post the picture of feeding of the bear, no kidding, he is licking our fingers. And the monkeys that took our sun glasses right off our heads. I think this picture would make a great poster for a dentist office. "Only floss the teeth you want to keep."
This picture makes me think of perspective because of the distortion I got by shooting with a tele lens close up. You can use the same technique to make your boss's nose look big at the next company party. Perspective is something that changes with experiance. What used to put your "panties in a knot" doesn't matter so much anymore. We all a limited amount of time to care for and love those around us. So get out today and give someone a hug.

Gratitude

Photographic memories are so much a part to our lives now. My daughter posed (acted out) for these pictures. We used them to create a picture thank you to send to all the "villagers" that recognized her graduation. We had to include the picture of her with a phone other wise no one would recognize her. I picked three quotes that I want my daughter to remember as she leaves home and goes on to the University.
1) "The reward for conformity is that everyone likes you except yourself." Rita Mae Brown
2)"If you can laugh at it, you can live with it." Erma Bombeck
3) "If you know you are going to fail, then fail gloriously" Cate Blanchett

This beautiful bride had no trouble channeling her "inner princess". We even found her playful "tinkerbell" side. She has been a favorite subject of mine many times and is so easy to pose. If you know her groom, don't tell him where to find her images. They are a secret! Great bridals are the result of careful planning ie; getting your hair done, selecting accessories. Being relaxed, knowing and trusting your photographer to help you look good. Having fun, experiancing good weather and a great location. These were taken at Lomond View Nursery Reception Center.

Just wanted to recognize a few seniors from this spring. Isn't great to graduate from High School? and be totally free? Free to pay taxes, get a job, plan for a future, pay rent, go away to school, worry about health care? Makes you miss the good ol' days with mom and dad, huh? Oh well, what's done can't be undone. Graduation is not only the end of High School but the beginning of everything else.
I'm not that clever with paper and pen and I wanted something "different" that I couldn't buy at the store. This type of bridal shower announcement fit me better. All the random details are included and the happy couple gets to be posted on the fridge as a visual reminder. Just remember always check your details twice.
